You and Fox News seem really confused; text messages in March 2017 to the ranking minority member of the Senate Intelligence Committee are part of the investigation of the Trump's campaign alleged collusion with Russian officials to influence the 2016 election. That isn't "collusion"; that is "investigation of collusion" as even Sen. Burr (R-NC) acknowledges in the article you cited:

But aides to Warner and Burr both stressed that the chairman was kept apprised of Warner's efforts.

An aide to Burr knew there was a "back channel" Warner was using to try and get to Steele and was not concerned that Warner was freelancing on the matter.


So really nothing to see here.
