@wildgrass saidWhere TF have you been?
Let's cut taxes but not cut any spending?
What a horse**** policy. Keep your cookies and eat them, delusional maniacs.
DOGE is all about cutting spending.
Tariffs are all about increasing revenue.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidPlease tell us about what the Dems did that GWB did not veto to cause this problem.
You mean the housing bubble burst that was a result of banks giving out all kinds of bad loans to minorities that couldn't afford them because the Dems were pushing them into it?
"I worked my entire career trying to remove regulations, and that's one of the major things I did. ...I'm a free market nut, and I believe in the market."

@Cliff-Mashburn saidThat's smoke and mirrors boss. Look at spending. It's higher now than last year.

@wildgrass saidHold on ... you are still arguing the same point. Deficit spending was the norm for the last 20 or more years, regardless of Dem or Rep. They do the same thing with slight variations. Why are you picking on Trump and ignoring the deficit spending of Biden. Trump at the start of this presidency went on a cost cutting rampage, which in your book should be a good thing.
Deficit spending is acceptable as a temporary response to a recession. It should not have exploded in 2018, we had an excellent economy and were winding down wars, but it did.
Why? Because trump and Republicans cannot quit their big spending agenda.

@Rajk999 saidIt's not regardless of dem or Republicans. Republicans grow deficits while Democrats reduce them, that is a 45 year trend.

Trump did not go on a cost cutting rampage. That's a joke. Spending is up over last year, same month.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidAh, the secret is revealed FINALLY. BIDEN is the one calling for an 880 BILLION dollar cut to Medicaid and it was BIDEN who killed USAID and BIDEN is the one who cut half the jobs at the VA administration and all those 200 medical contracts like the one paying for such friviolity as sterilizing medical tools like scalpels. DAMN that Biden.........
Biden SAID the deficit was shrinking.
It was growing, not shrinking.
@sonhouse saidLOL "cut half the jobs at the VA" .

No point in even addressing your other claims.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidThe VA plans to cut approximately 80,000 jobs, reducing its workforce by 15%. This includes firing roughly 2,400 people, and further reductions to achieve 2019 staffing levels. A memo obtained by Government Executive outlines plans to return to a total workforce of 399,957 employees. The cuts are expected to affect a significant portion of the VA workforce, including some medical and healthcare support staff.
LOL "cut half the jobs at the VA" .

So 15% cut, not half. But I bet he WOULD cut half or more, maybe kill VA completely if he could.
Trump already has shown contempt for our military, instead going PUTIN IS A GENIUS and POW's are LOSERS, I prefer the ones who were NOT caught.
Like Trump ever served in the military. Oh, I totally forgot, his debilitating bone spur
Just the kind of AHOLE you would love.
I bet you don't tell your friends you were once a respected member of the military.
I bet they would not respect you now if they saw your posts.
And OF COURSE you would not respond to the rest of my post since you totally agree ten million people SHOULD lose their medical insurance.
You are a piece of work THAT is for sure.

@Rajk999 said45 year olds living in America have never, not once in their entire lifetime, seen a Republican president in power who reduced deficit spending year over year.

But Democrats have done it a lot. Most years of Clinton (who completely balanced the budget) and Obama (who cut bushs trillion dollar deficits down to about $400 bill) terms saw deficits coming down, and Biden did it two years in a row before Trump's took office again.
Now it'll skyrocket again. Watch.
Edit: actually it looks like Reagan did it once, in 1987, and Bush Jr. did it once, in 2006. But Clinton reduced deficits every single year he was in office and Obama 7 of 8 years.
Trump's never done it.
The score is something like 17-2 in favor of Democrats.
@wildgrass saidThat would finance emergency shelters for homeless people, so they wouldn’t sleep on benches and embarrass AvJoe and his kid when they walk through the park at night.
The deficit was shrinking for the last three years, but is now projected to grow to $1.6 TRILLION this year.
That amount of money, just in deficit spending, could buy 4,000 cheeseburgers for every man, woman and child living in America every year.
Republicans always make this worse. Every single time.
Maybe worry about the spending and then cut taxes. Yeesh.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidDOGE is about curtailing services Congress has mandated.
Where TF have you been?
DOGE is all about cutting spending.
Tariffs are all about increasing revenue.
Tariffs are paid by U.S. importers, who pass the increase on to consumers.
That’s two net losses for ordinary Americans, and no gain whatsoever.
@sonhouse saidI heard the other day that Biden was responsible for Trump taking Qatar's bribe.

No, seriously, I heard some talking head say this just the other day.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidBecause it always has to be about those evil non-whites messing everything up for white people.
You mean the housing bubble burst that was a result of banks giving out all kinds of bad loans to minorities that couldn't afford them because the Dems were pushing them into it?
What is it about Trumpublicanism and racism? You can't have one without the other.
And you seriously wonder why everyone is so pissed off about MAGA being so racist. It is 2025. I thought we'd be over these antiquated ideas by now.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidYou are pathetically naive. DOGE is about collecting DATA and they could give a rats ass about money. THAT is obvious. They are after the MASTER data list, where EVERY American is in that list, job, insurance, legal problems, credit data, everything a dictator wants to control the population. THAT is the authoritarian playbook.
Where TF have you been?
DOGE is all about cutting spending.
Tariffs are all about increasing revenue.
EXACTLY like in China, they HAVE a master data list, bits on EVERY one of their population, shoplifting when you were 12? Better play good when you are 30 or you will be charged and kicked out of your state owned apartment.....
THAT is the master plan and the destruction of government offices is just a nice collateral for Trump.
HE WANTS THAT MASTER LIST. And he is getting it.
