Need to be careful how that's interpreted. I am totally opposed to the DP but the statement:

"A witness told the BBC that Smith thrashed violently on the gurney and the execution took around 25 minutes."

Did he thrash about because of the method or because he was facing his final moments with full knowledge they were his final moments? Did it take him 25 minutes to die or do they allow 25 minutes in an abundance of caution that he is dead? First they need to make the environment irrespirable then they need to make it safe again = time. All executions are 'cruel and unusual' IMO but having been in a low 02 situation and on site of another low 02 event (industrial accidents) without the knowledge of what's happening, in the moment, physically all you want to do is sleep.

And I recommend that kev bamboozle consider this method as a relief from the obvious anguish and pain he lives in.

Never stop arguing against the DP but stay true, don't use BBC type attention grabbers it actually damages the case against the DP.
