Another great one is Laphroig, the only whisky to make it through prohibition. because of it's unusual strong peaty aroma, the gaelic doctor's 'prescibed' it as medicine.

A friend and I drank his fathers Cardhu, planning on replacing it, only for the shop keeper to tell us that they didn't make it any more. I think they're rebranding it or something, but the best whiko I've had to date.
Usually only drink it a funerals.
