@AverageJoe1 saidAs I have explained before I am, philosophically, a "libertarian socialist":
OK, you are a socialist. We all know that. We are capitalist. So you cannot throw out little sentences like that like that will change our minds or change the economy of this country. Write a meaningful post for God sake.
OK, if you want, marauder is on the record as saying he is he does not have Trump Derangement Syndrome, my bad.
LIBERTARIAN SOCIALISM: a social system which believes in freedom of action and thought and free will, in which the producers possess both political power and the means of producing and distributing goods.
But while I'm waiting for capitalism's ultimate collapse, I tend to support measures which ameliorate it's damage as much as possible.
@Rajk999 saidThe rich enjoy the benefits of other's labor.
There is no such thing as 'balance of economic power' in any economy. You and wildgrass, both stupid socialists, just hate the rich, while at the same time enjoying the benefits of living among the rich, but complaining like hypocrites. Youall need a stint in Cuba.
Workers would enjoy it more if they received the bulk of the fruits of their labor rather than having it siphoned off by parasites protected by government force.
@no1marauder saidregulations).
Only massive government intervention rescued capitalism in the 1930s (this is quite besides the point that private property, the very basis of capitalism, can only exist because of government regulations).
"Free market" is basically an aphorism trying to hide the fact that prices and wages are mainly determined by those who have economic power over others. And that pow ...[text shortened]... trailing even Spain and Italy. https://www.visualcapitalist.com/wealth-per-person-by-country-2025/

Did you just say this? So all these years, supply and demand means nothing.? well I’ll be damned.
I had a pecan warehouse, in South Georgia, and also a tobacco warehouse in Sylvester Georgia. In both cases, it was all about how much someone would pay and what the supply was. That is called supply and demand you are full of crap.
@no1marauder saidHere's one. You can lie if you want to , i lready know the answer. Google a random lawyer, see if ESQ appears on whatever you find. Touche'
How many lawyers do you meet at the high school you attend?
@Rajk999 saidYou're just... Wrong..

Every sentence is the opposite of reality. I feel sorry for you.
@no1marauder saidNonsense.. . pure socialist propaganda, which is evil, unfair and leads to eventual failure. The entrepreneurs enjoy what they have worked for, sometimes their profits are higher than expected or lower, and sometimes it is a loss. The workers enjoy what they agreed to work for. Were they not paid their due, their agreed amount? What happening is that you and wildgress have evil eyes and are covetous. This is where the world is heading. Rather than seek self-improvement like better qualifications, careful living and smart spending, many workers want their employer to fund their excesses, their mistakes [like having 3 children with 3 women who they are not married to], and their extravagance.
The rich enjoy the benefits of other's labor.

@Rajk999 saidAt no point have you lent any credence to explaining why you think I'm a socialist. You just scream it at the void and hope someone believes you.

Scammers should be called scammers, not legitimized and given special status in our society as financiers with enormous salaries, making thousands of times more money than teachers and nurses. We should call them out, and ostracize those who choose a career in grifting, fraud and money laundering. I am not a socialist for pointing out their scam.
@wildgrass saidFeel sorry for yourself. You are the misfit in a capitalist society where people with brains can become billionaires, and you cannot help calling every rich man a scammer, and sadly for you, there is nothing you can do. It must be a hard life.
You're just... Wrong..

@Rajk999 saidBlagh. You keep using the term capitalism as an excuse for fraud and the term socialism to describe any means to fight fraud.
Feel sorry for yourself. You are the misfit in a capitalist society where people with brains can become billionaires, and you cannot help calling every rich man a scammer, and sadly for you, there is nothing you can do. It must be a hard life.
Like a 6 year old boy who can't stop saying poop.

Don't forget the "too big to fail" banking collapse of 2008, which would have destroyed US finance (and capitalism more broadly as a result) without taxpayer bailouts. Taxpayers were scammed out of hundreds of billions that were never returned to us once the banking system recovered.
I still haven't figured out the logic where Republicans seem fine defending expensive taxpayer funded interventions that help rich people, but they favor stripping the tax-funded interventions for the poor.
Neither are ideal solutions, but it seems obvious that welfare for the rich is WORSE than welfare for the poor.
@Rajk999 saidBy being a capitalist
How does one consume resources without working for it or without producing anything?
@Rajk999 saidCapitalists receive lots of money without doing any work. That’s kind of the point of capitalism. Rich people getting paid for other people’s work.
Here is a giant grift. About 20% of the US budget is for welfare, aka money received for no work done... money stolen. This totals around $1,800,000,000,000.
One point Eight Trillion. The US needs to put laws in place to stop that.

@AThousandYoung saidDon't despair. There's also people who are BORN billionaires, so the brains got little to do with it.
I have brains but I’m not a billionaire
