Fine of E 200,000,000 + 1,000,000 Daily for Refusing Immigrants

Debates

From Google:

The EU is charging Hungary a €200 million fine and a €1 million daily penalty for refusing to implement EU asylum laws and refusing to pay the initial fine. The European Commission has stated it will deduct the €200 million fine from upcoming EU budget payments to Hungary and is also requesting payment for the daily penalties.

Initial fine and ruling: In June 2024, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) fined Hungary €200 million for failing to comply with an earlier ruling to change its asylum policies. Daily penalty: The court also imposed a penalty of €1 million per day until Hungary complies with the ruling.

Hungary's reaction: Hungary has refused to pay the fine, with the government arguing the 2020 ruling is moot. EU's action: The EU Commission is not waiting for payment and is instead initiating an "offsetting procedure" to deduct the fine from future EU funding for Hungary. Daily fines: The commission has also sent requests for the daily penalties, giving Hungary a deadline to pay.

Good riddance.

Europe doesn't need any more dictators.

They probably did not read the fine print. Imagine forcing member states to accept gimmigrants and other undesirables whose aim is to destroy your country.

If Shav weighs in on this one, he will say “there is no such thing as an undesirable “, wherein you can chime in that we are our brother’s keeper.
Both wrong. Note that none of you will take exception to those 2 comments.

Do you check over what you write? It sounds like mumbo jumbo.
It helps to take your time and write clearly.

So your thesis is:
Hungarians are only discriminating against immigrants whose aim is to destroy the country.

or put differently:

People fleeing war and repression who are not aiming to destroy Hungary are treated according to the European standards Hungaria did agree on.

right?

Yeah they did agree, like all European nations. Some like Poland are wise to the evil streak hiding in Islam. Poland has refused Muslims, with good reason, and they take their quota of refugees from Ukraine. The rest of Europe is falling because of the burden of immigrants. Please dont bore me with the .. Well I live here and I see no problem .. selfish comment. Its not about you. There are thousands of reports of problems in Europe, and millions of Europeans are protesting the against EU policy of uncontrolled immigration. I have posted it in several threads. Review it for yourself and see what is going on.

There is another issue. If you are fleeing persecution, poverty, war, depression created by your own stupidity, then you should be denied the right to emigrate to another country. There are many such examples. Islam is a perfect one. These idiots support Islam, they shout death to America, death to Israel, Kill the Infidels, and when their own people persecute them, they run to the western countries. I have posted volumes about Islam and if you are still in denial then you need to fix that.

Another good example is Venezuela. The electorate voted in a socialist government. They are fu.king stupid. They should be denied entry into the US unless they have proof that they did not vote in Chavez. Venexuala was the most prosperous South American country, but the people wanted socialism. I say leave them to face the consequences of their stupidity.

One possible thesis could be, is it okay to sign up to an agreement only for the benefits and not the obligations?
