The Onion bought InfoWars after Alex Jones' bankruptcy, and this is the first episode.
Honestly, I can't tell the difference from before Onion bought them.
It's supposed to sound like Alex Jones, from the crappy, "techie" graphic opening to the raspy, really annoying voice all the way down to the extremely intelligence-limited "intellectual" discussions.

Jones always purported that his coverage was the only 'real' news.
It's really no surprise that a parody would so closely mimic his own broadcasts. They were so 'out there' that any bizarre topic would seem like an actual episode.
Gay frogs. The end of civilization as we know it.
All anyone needs to know about Alex Jones is that he was fined millions for continuing to claim that Sandy Hook was a hoax. That's the kind of guy he is.
