Where specifically am I dangling? 😳

You know your right, I have a nasty habit of not following up at times. So what is your question?

You mean, when the whodster said nobody gave anything to the US, repeatedly, he was just making it up? When do you think he'll be along to apologise for spreading untruths?

Is that a fact?

A quick google, too, reveals dozens and dozens of countries that have sent money and other assistance.

Where exactly did you get your "it is ONLY the US who has given money to help the people of Pakistan" 'fact' from?

In happier news, the EU has announced it will increase aid to Pakistan by 30m euros to a total of 70m:

In fact, this thread was directed at the US even though it is ONLY the US who has given money to help the people of Pakistan.
Whodey?

Are you going to "withdraw" this one too?

whodey: what countries gave money for Katrina? It seems to me that the US is on its own - untrue claim - "withdrawn" by whodey under sustained pressure.

whodey: it is ONLY the US who has given money to help the people of Pakistan - untrue claim - still hanging in the air - any comment whodey?

whodey:[on the Gulf oil disaster] the allies of the US come over and dump trillions of gallons of oil off her shores - untrue claim - any comment whodey?

What are all these boing noises.....oh, hellow friend.

I withdraw the bit about only American money coming to Pakistan and no money from other countries coming for Katrina after having been shown. Boing.

As for the bit about dumping trillions of gallons of oil off the shores of the US, it was a bit of a rant but yes the corporation is British is it not? Boing.

BOING, BOING, BOING, BOING.

No Whodey, BP is a multinational corporation. They used to be a British-based multinational but then in 2000 they merged with Amoco (American owners of the Amoco Cadiz - remember that?) and changed the name from British Petroleum to BP Amoco Plc. Currently, around 80% of their stock is owned by US and UK investors, pretty evenly split down the middle. While the company's headquarters is still located in the UK, to call them a British organisation would be naive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BP

Furthermore, your use of the word 'dumping' is inappropriate here. This implies a deliberate action - I don't think even the most radical conspiracy theorist could possibly imagine that an oil company could have any reason to deliberately discard 5 million barrels of oil.

Whodey, the correct answer would have been:

"I wasn't really serious about the dumping oil comment; I was just making a completely sarcastic reference to the oil spill"

How wrong you are.
