The site does not work robbie. 😞

But thanks! We need more people like JFK to suggest doing away with the Fed. The problem would be them not having a similar fate, however. 😛

Actually JFK was reminding the American people that the west was settled by two great actions by national government, President Lincoln who gave a homestead to everyone and in 1862 when he set aside land for government colleges and this cooperation between citizenry and government was what made America great.

JFK is probably the best American public speaker that I've heard. Will you step up whodey or will you continue to rebel?

Id be more interested to hear what the dissenters have to say about citizenry and government, those two elements which made America awesome.

I'm more interested in how the captains of industry have taken control of the government.

Why, what can you do about it?

Not a single thing, at least not by myself.

What is greatness Robbie? Was it a great thing to take the land away from the American Indian? Is creating a world power war machine greatness? If so, then I suppose we differ on the term "greatness".

Taking the land was one thing, they way it was done quite another Whodey, i am not going to defend colonialism, nor military might. I don't think President Kennedy was alluding to either, the greatness that he was alluding to was the cooperation between citizenry and government.

Cooperation? There is cooperation with many government policies, is there not? Is society that lawless that this is the only shinging example? No dear robbie, he chose this particular policy because it expanded the US empire which made it into a "great" nation.

Whodey whodey, it was done in the name of progress! will you step up for America whodey or will you continue to rebel against your elected government? If JFK came back whodey, what progress would he see? People still opposing health reforms, opposing financial reforms on the basis that it saps self reliance, that its not in the pioneer spirit?

I guess it all boils down to what "progress" is.

For the progressive, it is all about legislating a utopia with a myriad of laws and regulations. For me it has more to do with embracing freedom.

We are all subject to laws and regulations whodey. Would you get into an aeroplane if the laws of physics were not stable, known and obeyed by aeronautical engineers who designed the aircraft? Freedom is always relative. Why did they kill JFK? What was he proposing that he must forfeit his life and make Mrs Kennedy a widow because of it?
