The non-mandate is more to give cover for large employers who want to take such measures than anything else:

Biden has always "encouraged" the citizens to get vaccinated.
I'll repeat something else I said.
The mandates do NOT give authorities license to haul people out of their homes and drag them to vaccination clinics.
The mandates simply say people cannot go to restaurants or other gathering places if they are not vaccinated.
The personal choice whether someone wants to be vaccinated or not remains with that person.
I personally feel better if I am in a public place that I am not at risk of infecting someone else who has refused vaccination.
I also feel better that I can be in a restaurant or bar and not have someone blow tobacco smoke in my face.
And I think the business owners will feel the same.
Having unvaccinated people winding up in the ICU on a ventilator because of their restaurant is bad for business, I would think.
In fact, I believe that if the government doesn't apply the mandates, the free market will.
In fact, there are many instances where the business community has pre-empted the government in this regard.

He has so far shown remarkable non-action on Biden's vaccine mandate of Federal workers. He's been ignoring it, hoping it will just "go away". I've heard exactly nothing about it through official channels. This is remarkable for an agency that has long insisted on weekly crew meetings. We've heard absolutely nothing about this officially, and when I asked a supervisor about this, all he said was "I don't know, we've had no instruction on this."
The current PMG is the worst PMG we've had since I started working there, just another example of the deep corruption of the Trump Administration.
