France provides 6000 euros to families with two children if they agree to go back to their country of origin.

I didn't know that they offered this. It must be saving France money somehow?

They have been offering it since 2005.

Sounds like they need their own version of Liberia and the American Colonization Society.

But maybe I'm just being cynical.

However, think how good it would sound... calling it Chiracovia and the capital city could be Jauqueville er somethin' like that thar.

It is saving them an incredible amount of money. I wish the US would do the same, we'd save trillions in the long run, as long as it was assured they couldn't come back.

It is saving them money? I would be curious to know of any sources on that... I can not find them.

I can't find a source right now either, but I'm sure I've seen stats saying that immigrants in France consume more tax dollars than they produce.

Yes...forget where I read it, but the unemployment figure alone is ungodly....add to that medical, crime, etc.....anyway, 6000 euros is like a few months of benefits, versus a lifetime of sucking up public welfare...followed by their kids doing the same...ad infinitum . It's money well spent, the UK does the same thing i believe.
But almost no one is going for it, they have a life time to live for free and not work, why give that away?

Well, basically the offer is probably to families who haven't went through the judicial process of being offered asylum or who have went through it and have been found wanting.

So it does save money. Lots of money. Don't forget that people in France are entitled to legal representation and under the international laws governing refugees anybody can apply for asylum.

Also, housing illegals (a god awful nasty term for people the government presumes are more likely to be economic refugees than political ones...don't forget that the international laws governing refugees were written in the 50's with Eastern Europe in mind...) costs a damn sight more than 6000 pitiful euros; don't forget to take into consideration that all children have a right to education in the place of residence (illegality doesn't exist in international children's law), health care, etc.

Just look at the savings being made!
