There is value in thinking big and outside the box. But if you are ignoring huge bodies of solid evidence in favor of a fringe blog theory you read on the internet, and calling yourself a freethinker, it's because you don't want to think.

I presume, whilst thinking about it, that it’s someone who doesn’t comprehend the axiomas of his own reasoning, the environments he’s situated in and the concessions he’s accepted as having any influence on his thinking.
Or in other words, someone who doesn’t quite comprehend that the chemical balance in his brain actually influences how he thinks and that his thinking now is related to the burger he’s eating on his porch or is not eating as he starves in a desert.
Indeed, I presume these free thinkers are generally male and single.
For females generally realise that thinking changes as one has kids.
All generally speaking, obviously. I don’t know the term free thinker at all.

If I remember correctly at one time the Freethinkers clan was ranked number 2 on this site after Metallica.
