that wants to be eaten. That's why is is bright and easy to see and tastes and smells sweet. Animals (including us) either spit out the seeds if they are bitter, dispersing them, or let them go through us/them comming out in poo. Some seeds are to big and we just throw them away.

In return, the fruit (plant) wants us to live long in order to disperse its seeds, so it makes sure the fruit contains lots of nutrients and micronutrients.

All other food either tries to run away, or dies if you eat it. Even veg has to be cooked, and would rather you left it alone.

My conclusion is that we should all eat more fruit.
BTW, this is not my original thinking, I read it in a book.
Can you see any fundamental flaws in the theory?

Yeah - what do we do when oil reserves run low, transportation costs become astronomical, the price of fruit therefore becomes high, and we don't produce enough fruit locally in the winter time to supply the population?

I suppose thats true, but couldn't you say that about most things? The winter is a significant problem for the fruit theory though. Agreed!

BTW, Fresh fruit is never advertised because businesses cannot jazz it up much. They prefer to advertise processed fruit or food, which has massive profit margins.(perhaps 500😵 Fresh fruit will always be a cheap source of nutrients.

This person also liked ponies and going for a walk along the beach once a year... WITH ABOUT 50 PEOPLE to a white post and back. Lol, i've passed on these one's ap ...[text shortened]... k(as though people were imposing that this was wrong.) 😕.

Next day the tsunami happened...
Good luck with the oranges! Don't stop.

You don't. You are right, you need more protien. Have you ever wondered though, how a cow gets such big muscles from eating grass?

Maybe nuts would be good, if someone really wants to be obsessively healthy.

One fundamental flaw in your theory, fruit is inanimate; it cannot "want" anything.

Every city/town should have shared orchards!! Apples, plums, pears, cherries, damsons etc., harvest and jar them for winter supply.

Use lots of lots of carbohydrates to produce ethanol, which may predominantly used as energy source for ethanol fuelled cars.

Future is bright, pretty and smells good.

There are some people who want to be eaten alive... should we harvest them?

I'm not going to eat fruit because it wants me to, but because it is good for me. I'm perfectly happy eating meat too. Steaks don't run away.

In England we grow enough fruit to go all year. The quietest months on the fruit front are Late March to early May.

As for the protien point soya products (technically vegetables) give good protien

I went to a meeting last week about setting up a raw food vegan restaurant. This would be possible. Dehydrating fruit is another way of securing year round supplies.

Peas in pods also provide good protein. Nuts are very nutritious as well yumyum (sorry for allergic people).

What about tomotoes, courgettes, squashes? They are like fruits, aren't they in away?

Sun-dried fruits, tomotoes, delicious!
