Already up about 50 cents a gallon because of Our Majesty's unilateral decision to drag us into war, traders at Polymarket are setting the odds that they will go to $5.00 a gallon by the end of the month at about 41%. The all time high was $5.01. This is according to the Silver Bulletin.
Ready for it and the effect that will have on broad inflation measures?

@Great-Big-Stees saidSorry, natural gas prices are already up 15% since the start of Netanyahu-Trump's war and that accounts for over 40% of US electricity generation. https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/electricity/electricity-in-the-us.php

@Great-Big-Stees saidNew EVs are quite expensive and used batteries have a short life.

I predict e bikes and bicycle engine kits will sell more as fuel prices rise.
I put an engine kit last year on my bicycle and may ride it more as road conditions improve. They can take a while to start but over 100 miles per gallon for an 80cc engine.
@no1marauder saidGas is now more expensive than beer, in Germany.

@no1marauder saidWho cares. Our parents had to make sacrifices in war tiimes, et al. Not too comfortable for whiny liberals who are used to getting things handed to them, but it is better than waking up to destruction by nuclear war. how about trying to save five bucks a day on a cup of coffee at Starbucks and you will break even.

@AverageJoe1 saidThere was treaty, functioning & verifiable, wh/ T45 shredded and replaced with nothing. If T45 had honoured that treaty, there would be no pretext to invade Iran now.

Trump is heavily invested in fossil fuels--he's the one making a huge profit on this war of choice, while demanding Americans to 'sacrifice.' Phffttt!
@moonbus saidFlluffy talk, but you are really weird to say that we would have 'no pretext to invade Iran now'. Do you not think that all of the evidence, beginning with 'death to america', is reason enough to squash that bug? Marauder and Sonhouse want us to fold our tents and leave them to it!!!!!!!!! Some people might not have children, and are only thinking about their life span. Me, I even have my great grandkids prepared.

@AverageJoe1
Did Ronald Reagen invade? He was not specifically known to be a dove.
And "Detah to America" was the slogan then.
It is quite clear that it is a pretext. But some people never learn.
@Ponderable saidheh i just came on this thread to see the inevitable trump ass licker vomit that it's a good thing that gas prices are up or not a big deal after that being all they could say during Biden.

Not to mention gas prices are now up explicitly over something the orange did as opposed to Biden
This forum never disappoints
@Ponderable saidNo, but he should have invaded, don't you see. All of the presidents should have invaded.. I take it that you think that Trump too should have just let Iranian press on with their nuclear program? Your next door neighbor is setting up ominous devices in his yard and gives you the finger every day, saying something like you will die. You gonna leave that be, 'ar 'ya?

It's OK to say we should leave IRan alone, Marauder thinks it too!!!!

@Zahlanzi saidWe now have as president, truly right wing leadership we have never had before. Some cultures only understand strength and force. Donald is far from effiminate, a true man.

Right Wing, keep killing mullahs untill they stand down.
Left Wing, smother foreign policy, no one knows where they stand; there are no clear lines and you are always at the mercy of a freakout.
RIght Wing, order, clean lines.... you die if you cross them, everyone knows where they stand. Trump is ALWAYS warning them and telling them where They stand! (with Trump,l the world knows where Trump stands. He does not send $1.7 to Iran in the middle of the night. Did you know about that little feller)
Left Wing, Obama and Hillary let Bengazi ......jesus,
Right Wing , today, rioters tried to stop it, all got shot .
Masculine Order (Trumo) vs Toxic weak chaos.
Look at Z, who swore off writing to me, and comes back with the libs here whining about gas prices. Hey Z, a cup of coffee at Starbucks, goes up all the time, ($8.75) The libs pay cause its cool I guess. But Gas!?!?!? OOOOOOH TRUMP BASED!!! Give him hell, and let Iran alone!
@AThousandYoung saidThat shows how desperate the US government is in this war. If Trump was telling the truth about the war he would not have to destroy a valuable refinery they could use if winning was anywhere within reach anytime soon.
Iranian oil infrastructure destroyed

This war is a quagmire. It will last a lot longer than Trump claimed and he knows it if he has to destroy such a valuable refinery. Nothing says you are losing more than destroying the spoils of war. If I am right Iran prepared for it by storing refined fuel at another secure location. And Russia and China will help them when they need more fuel.
@no1marauder saidYeah… imagine who’s to blame for that?

I’ve already printed an A4 of trump to poop on, everytime I fill my car up with petrol.
And I don’t clean it up afterwards.
