This is a wonderful hour long podcast that tackles many of the themes that recur on this board... right down to the anthropological evidence of the structure of the hunter-gatherer societies...

So, download it, put it on your mp3 player and next time you're taking a walk, going to the gym or just relaxing in your living room, turn it on and be prepared for a fascinating discussion.

PS: If you haven't heard of Dan Carlin and his "hardcore history" series, you should check it out. He's fantastic.

Listen to the lecture, folks. It's going to be on the test!

I think I've listened to that one at some point - it's one of his older posts I think.

I like his podcasts a lot - although I wish he updated his history one more often.

If I hear anything else about "natural rights" I might just completely lose my respect for you sh76, so I'd rather avoid that link.

Cool, I enjoyed that. I was initially put off by what seemed to my ears to be deliberate comedy voices, but I ended up kind of charmed - I liked the way they bounced off each other - the puppyish (and a little smitten) shouty presenter who kept referring to Gwynne Dyer in the third person and the ridiculously laid back interviewee, as played by Grampa Marauder on copious amounts of Valium.

"Do you want to hear a cheap theory?"
"I love those!"

Now there's an image it will take me forever to get out of my head...
