As someone who works in the field, please inform we miserable chess players what problems may have been discovered regarding the CFC replacements...or perhaps New Scientist omitted coverage of that one? 😉
Well, I have to admit to two things here.
1: I'm drinking alone in my flat.
2: I'm a bubble physicist, not a climate scientist.

What problems are you referring to compared to the problems that CFC's had? Lower efficiency, but then the argon used in most refrigirators today is less efficient than the ammonia which was originally used, but no one seems to be complaining.

...not good enough I would say. She needs to go on the list.

Speaking of Refrigerators. If we all just leave our Refrigerators open for a day and turn our air conditioners around so they face out maybe the temperature would drop and global warming would be over!!!!! 🙂

2016 for automobile regulations?! Perfect, she's on. Though in this case we may need a note. I'll talk to some people.

I heard of this before, thermodynamics would beg to differ.
If I leave a fridge open, it uses energy to remove heat from it's interior and pumps it to its exterior. Thus no change in temperature in a perfect system if the fridge is left open. But no system is perfect, so the inefficencies actually add to the temperature. Air conditioners work on the same principle.

Dude, they don't want to know. Science has nothing to do with politics unless you use spin. It's not enough to be right here, you have to be a d!ck about it as well. 😉

That's why I don't use spin. I don't even care if I'm right or not. But if I'm wrong I want to be shown evidence. Simple.

No. 1 on the list.
He seems to be hailed as the hero when he's actually kind of acting as the Hamas. Bad PR, needs to be taken care of.
