I don't know why, but I get the distinct impression STANG doesn't like the USA. 😛

I don't think you know me well enough ...
I certainly don't back everything your (or my own, or anybody's) governments do though.

You're not quite right.

Have a read of my profile.

And, as I said before (though I get accused of repeating myself), my underlying question is "Why are Americans so blindly patriotic when one considers issues in my opening post, as well as the deaths of up to 100,000 people in Iraq".

Interesting ...

My own "backyard" includes train stations that no longer have rubbish bins since America raised the threat of terrorism.

If these forums are anything to go by, most Americans are not "blindly patriotic"--they're questioning their leadership's policies more and more. It's probably all due to your fine work, Stang--mission accomplished, you can call it a day.

Bush should not be questioned as you suggest.

He should be subject to a thorough, independent and powerful investigation with a view to having him impeached.

Impeaching Bush will solve nothing. He will just win the sympathy vote. Strong counter arguements need to made by those that can influence the president. But sometimes this leads to half measures which can make international situations worse.

Rwanda, Shrebinica (sp) and the 1st gulf war are all examples of where half measures lead to chronic problems.

Australia v USA in a freedom match.

Two countries built on the protestant work ethic, if try hard you can achieve. Both have liberal costal cities and red neck right wing centres.

Having visited both I would say that Australia is more relaxed, but is higher taxed. Ultimately Australia is probably more free because America is constrained by legally and morally by religion.

Would you please answer his question as to why you decided to be deceptive and not include China in the number of executions?

You're more likely to get blood out of a stone than get this parrot to answer a direct question.

Where's sasquatch when you need him? The debate forums were very enjoyable to read in the past few weeks until now....

It wasn't about China.
