Why, when a player gets a hole in one should he be forced to buy everyone in the clubhouse a drink???? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Makes no sense to me... I've never gotten one, and I fear the day I do. You can even buy 'insurance' so if you get one, the clubhouse will cover the drinks. I think that is about 10 bucks a year.
Bah!

Apparently, it's millions-to-one against. But the same thing happened on the same course at the same hole a couple of years previously (different friends).

I take it from that comment that you have never gone golfing.
and i was about to argue my point further, but i'm not. twas kinda sarcasm 🙂
Huntingbear said he would say a prayer for me! I was on a 185 yard par 3... and landed the ball 3 feet from the cup.
Birdie!
Next hole was a par 4, I was 4 feet from the cup and sank a second birdie!
I stunk up 2 other holes, and finished 9 holes in 49 strokes. I beat my friend Pat by 2 strokes.... so it was a great day! I expected a 55 score for the day since it is only the second time I got out this year!
Great day!
I also bowl, and I have a feeling I will neither ever hole in one or get a perfect bowling score.... but have come close to both often enough.
