Looks like Kurdistan's doing ok and helping their neighbors to boot.

EDIT - I suppose I need to make this a debate topic. Is this good news? Will the Kurds help stabilize the region via friendship, compassion and a stable, flourishing economy?

There's no Kurdistan and they will never do OK. They make up B😕©, if you have'nt been there, do not believe a word.

They do not even have banks to flourish th economy. My father and I went to a business trip there, that is how I know.

The Kurdish region has long been *relatively* peaceful. They do have the PKK which Turkey will tell you all day long are terrorists. The Kurds are not exactly a just a great group of people. Though they do have their good points which this article reflects.

That being said, they have not had the tension between Sects like the Shia and Sunni. Not being Arab would be a major problem if they were in Bagdad. In Kurdistan though, its no big deal obviously. I don't really see them being able to help bring any sort of unity to the areas they don't control.

Also, nobody really wants them to spread south. Even if the cities they took control of and helped bring peace to were able to remain a mix of Arabs and Kurds (that's probably not a winning combination) Kurds would likely be reluctant to hand over control to the Iraqi government when the Iraqi government was ready to assume control. They have shown some signs of wanting to expand Kurdistan and I doubt trying to wrestle cities back from the Kurds is a headache anyone wants.

More likely is a continued influx of Arabs into the Kurdish areas. I expect it to continue to be a success too. The Kurds are not going to let Arab militias form in Kurdistan and if one does get a start, the Peshmerga will put it
down in short order.

Ya, I heard the guy that Bush put in charge of setting up the sharemarket was driving cabs at the time. He had nice smile and gave his testimony infront of Bush's auntie making her cry. Bush knew he was a man of God which through him all things are possible.
