FOUND IT!!!!!

In fact, it is not good that he died. Now, no chance of getting further info on terrorist activity.
Good point.

Which version is the rabid pursuit of money, greed, indifference to the poor and suffering, etc etc that typifies so many people in America (and other 'christian' nations) based on?
The one that claims people have a sinful nature.

I guess it's better to have a 17in. bayonet stuck down your throat and your head cranked off on the battlefield than to be tortured while in captivity. your're the sick one. I see no difference.

Bastard?......losing your cool? Bet you'd just love to torture me. Take a ticket, take a seat, i'll call ya.

If you're getting a bayonet stuck in you as part of a war, you are trying to kill the soldier stabbing you. The bayonet strike is used to kill or incapacitate so you cannot fight back, not to make you suffer.

And yes, the bayonet is better. You die when you get "your head cranked off". The pain ends. Torture doesn't work that way. It prolongs pain.

Ever heard of the Hague Conventions? Why are hollow point bullets banned? Because they cause unnecessary suffering.

In a battle, I would presume that 99 times out of 100, you would have a weapon, and your enemy would, also.

In legalized torture, you have a weapon (or torture device), and your enemy does not. Most of the time, his hands/feet are bound, too.

If you can't make that distinction, then you have very poor discernment.

I never said anything about physical torture, or pain, but if that's what they have to do.....fine with me.

Trust me, the bayonet is used to make you suffer. How long do you think it takes to crank a head off? I'd rather take my chances with a bullet than be stabbed with a bayonet.

Hollow popints are worthless in war. They don't penetrate solid material. They get clogged up going into clothing. The round nose bullet was banned because it was slow moving and heavy and would take an arm completely off instead of just going straight thru.Example: The British 303cal. Enfield.
The spitzer point was developed because of it's high velosity and yaw
causing hydrolic shock to the tissues and bouncing around off bones and other organs. It was developed to cause severe wounds and the need of several men to carry the wounded person to safety. Example: the m16 round. The round was made to cause severe suffering rather than death.

You said you wished the terrorist would not have died of his burn wounds because we could have gotten information out of him. By what means?

You are so naive in your assumption of what combat is all about. Do you think a person just dies immediatey when shot? Dream on. They suffer for hours and hours and even days before rescue or death. The moaning and crying for their mothers is like being in hell. Don't tell me how simple it is to die.

Yeah, my spelling sucks.

What do you mean.....legalized torture?

If ever in your life get to where the rubber meets the road....tell me then that you would not torture to save your brothers.

You may want to tell the terrorists it's not nice to torture while they're cutting your genitals off, sticking them in your mouth and sticking bamboo slivers in your lips to keep them in place.

I agree that your world would be the better place to live, but from my experiences... IT AIN"T THAT WAY DUDE. And never will be.

You discern nothing of Reality.
