1000+ soldiers have been killed in the line of duty in the war so far (as of yesterday).

That's sick enough.

And then you look at Bush and Kerry having political debates over all the deaths. Shouldn't we all just be mourning over all the losses and not making it look like they died for no reason?

It just makes me sick.

Very grim and very sad, indeed.

Note that this figure has already been passed many times over for the ignored:

"While America mourns the deaths of more than 1,000 of its sons and daughters in the Iraq (news - web sites) campaign, the U.S. toll is far less than the Iraqi. No official, reliable figures exist for the whole country, but private estimates range from 10,000 to 30,000 killed since the United States invaded in March 2003."

Whats your point? I really could care less how many Iraqis have been killed. I just hope Bush finally lets those soldiers in Iraq do their jobs and finally go after Sadr's boys and add a few more Iraqis to the list.

I have to agree with slimjim on this one.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry about the Iraqi deaths. But they aren't that significant to me (especially compared to American casulaties).

I just miss my friends and family that have died in combat!

Does that mean if you could vote, you'd vote for Kerry?

Of course. But what about Americans killed who were complete strangers? How many Iraqi lives are each of those worth to you?

The only difference between you and an Iraqi civilian is the borders you were born in. If the Iraqi's came to set you free from the tyrany of democracy, would you be thankfull ? Civilians are innocent in this war.

Hey, 25,000,000 Iraqis to go and then you can post a big "W" on your scorecard! Go, Team USA!

I made a post that came to my defense before any of you posted in reply to what I said, but it is gone because of a good reason (I was replying to someone else, and the post that I quoted had a bad word in it).

I would re-post what I said, but I've lost it, lol

US soldiers aren't killing civilians. They are killing thugs. Most Iraqis are staying out of the fighting. It's the religious fanatics who are causing the problems.

You really believe American soldiers are killing civilians on purpose? In a war unfortunately civilians do get killed but our soldiers are not killing them indiscrimately. If you really believe that then you are an idiot. You wouldn't make such an asinine statement if you had ever worn the uniform (which I doubt) of the United States military. You probably cheer when you read the headlines of an soldier dying.
