What is BLM doing about this. Or do these black lives do not matter.
Unidentified gunmen stormed the property at 01:00 local time (05:00 GMT), interim PM Claude Joseph said. He called for calm, saying that "all measures had been taken to guarantee the continuity of the state". Mr Moïse had been in power since 2017 but had faced widespread protests demanding his resignation. Mr Joseph called the shooting of the president a "heinous, inhuman and barbaric act", saying the attackers spoke "English and Spanish". He gave no further details.
He said the situation in the impoverished Caribbean nation was under control, adding: "Democracy and the republic will win." The streets of the capital appeared to be largely empty on Wednesday morning, but questions remain about how much control Mr Joseph can assert in a nation plagued by political instability and gang violence. The neighbouring Dominican Republic ordered the "immediate closure" of its border with Haiti.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted that he was "shocked and saddened at the death of Mr Moïse", calling it "an abhorrent act" and appealing for calm. The White House called the killing a "horrific crime".

@dood111 saidConservatives are quick to separate disgruntled Trump supporters from the Capitol rioters, but can't do the same with BLM and destructive protesters.
How does burning down buildings and attacking people qualify as dealing with police brutality?
I wonder if a certain color has anything to do with it....
@dood111 saidHow many protesters bring a working guillotine and chant in unison to hang a public figure?
How many buildings were set on fire Jan 6?
If you're going to blame BLM for what some random rioters do (who may not even be part of the BLM movement) then you need to do the same for Republicans. Call Trump supporters out as the piece of garbage organization they are for the invasion of the Capitol.
Otherwise, you're just a hypocrite. Which we know already.
@dood111 saidDestroying the property of the wealthy puts financial pressure on the people who benefit from police brutality.

@athousandyoung saidIt should also be pointed out that not everyone who protests police brutality is part of BLM. Some protestors are simply people angry at the abuse of power from police; you don't need to join an organization for that.
Destroying the property of the wealthy puts financial pressure on the people who benefit from police brutality.
@athousandyoung saidbut that is not all they destroyed…black business owners were hit too. And every business owner is not wealthy.

By definition…trying to affect political change through violence is “terrorism”…you just described this.
@mott-the-hoople saidBLM has never supported violence or looting of private property.

But:
"The vast majority of Black Lives Matter protests—more than 93%—have been peaceful, according to a new report published Thursday by a nonprofit that researches political violence and protests across the world."
And many of the "violent demonstrations" were minor in character:
" The authors define violent demonstrations as including “acts targeting other individuals, property, businesses, other rioting groups or armed actors.” Their definition includes anything from “fighting back against police” to vandalism, property destruction looting, road-blocking using barricades, burning tires or other materials. In cities where protests did turn violent—these demonstrations are “largely confined to specific blocks,” the report says.
The ACLED report includes protests toppling statues of “colonial figures, slave owners and Confederate leaders” as violent incidents. “Since Floyd’s killing, there have been at least 38 incidents in which demonstrators have significantly damaged or torn down memorials around the country,” the report states."

Right wingers are committed to the lie that BLM "burned down cities" and no facts are going to make them admit it is false propaganda.
@no1marauder saidkind of hard to look past the pictures of them doing it 😳
