than enough for the Hamas members here at RHP, and an
undisputable reason to condemn the evil Israelis.

Gosh, it's like celebrating that the monkey learnt to smoke or to
say "apple" with sign language.
You must speak your own language; there's nothing "vague" about the statements.

"Palestinians" referred to the (ancient) Greek sea people. Wik has a bit of the history on the area. Those Arabs currently using the title are doing so under completely false pretenses.
Much like the overwhelming majority of North Americans. I can't believe you buy into this crap.

Steve Jobs has just gone one step better and announced an apple that can send smoke signals. The iphone will be the must have monkey accessory this year. And in a case of life imitating art you could probably see your monkey do on that next booty call.

Hamas acknowledges the existence of Israel as a reality but formal recognition will only be considered when a Palestinian state has been created, the movement's exiled leader Khaled Meshaal said on Wednesday

Softening a previous refusal to accept the Jewish state's existence, Meshaal said Israel was a "matter of fact" and a reality that will p ...[text shortened]... I'm sure that's not enough for the Zionists and their supporters here, but why not?
Simple, he's lying. Hamas has no interest in a two-state solution. It is a lie. It will soften up the west, put pressure on Israel to negotiate a deal, take some pressure off the government. No doubt some people will mis-interpret this as a sign by Hamas that peace is possible in the region.

However, Hamas is dedicated to the detruction of Israel. And if this guy should actually mean what he says, the only thing that will happen is that his own organisation will turn on him.

Hamas are terrorists. Period.

Just as I'm sure that nothing short of Israel's conversion to Islam or all the Jews slitting their throats would satisfy you or the death cults.

You really have even less understanding than I thought if you think I'm remotely interested in people converting from one imaginary friend to another.

Do you pay attention to anything people say here, or just spout whetever nonsense comes into your head regardless?

Genetic research shows that most of the Palestinians are descendents from the Canaanities, Philistines and others who have lived in the area for about 4,000 years at least.

Those of us who live in North America do not call ourselves "North Americans," but rather, Mexican, Canadian, American or etc., based upon the governements from which we hail more so than the geographical designation of a continent and/or hemishpere.

The folks that were here before my forefathers landed in the early 1600's were (at some point) from Europe as well. They just got here a little earlier than did we.

So you'd have no problem if someone who identified with the Palestinian government called themselves Palestinian, right?

Can't you do your own research?

A quick google gives http://www.palestine.org.nz/566.html.

But this isn't remotely contentious, or disputed in any way, not even by zionists.

I think they should realize that the first step is to formally recognize Israel as a matter of fact instead of simply giving it lip service. Then Israel should proceed but not until that time.
