has anyone even noticed that this game site has now been infiltrated with spyware?, Since the last" maintainence down time", I now have to block 3rd party cookies every time I get on. So much for the " we just wanna let people play chess" premise.

This is simply not true. Please read my comment later in the thread:-Russ

I'm not suffering this. If I had to guess I'd say your computer is to blame.

When I open Internet Options and click the Security tab, I don't see any "block 3rd party cookies" option. When I click "custom level" none of the options in that list have that description either.

This site does NOT install spyware on your machine.

All ad networks will save cookies on your machine, this is the norm. Nothing has changed since the upgrade regarding this.

If you want to block cookies start using Mozilla Firefox. You can change the settings to ask your permission before setting any cookies

I haven't noticed any changes.
The ads might try something ? And possibly if peoples avatars are located at a commercial site ?

If my memory serves me well, it also has to with whether you're a Star (meaning paying) or a non-star (non-paying) member.

Russ, not only have you highjacked his thread, but you've highjacked his post. Is there some sort of gold membership that will enable us to do the same ? 🙂
