speech at the Labour party conference in the UK, I have to ask...

What the hell happened to America? Look at what you had; look at what you have now. It's beyond reason.

Religion happened to America. The same thing that happened to Afghanistan, etc.

democracy degenerated into bearaucracy, corporatism and deception.since the WW2 the US didn't have one decent president. Well maybe only JFK but what did amerika do to him? they shot his ass. and maybe Carter but with the incident of hostages in iran, he lost to that chimpanzee Reagen

in what country people choose presidents depending on their looks? in what country a president can get elected by actually having less people voting for him than his opponent? america is the light of democracy and how many people go to vote(a right people died and are still dying for)? 5%?10%? people cried fraud when they counted the votes in Florida. did someone get indicted?nooo.
People chose the idiot bush because he sonded more alive than the bore Al Gore(didn't intended to rhyme). people chose him again(wtf?) over john kerry i am sure mostly because kerry looks like a gay man.

america takes her democracy for granted.

We whined about Clinton when we had him in office too. We'll whine about the next president as well.

What is really bad is when the rest of the world whines about our presidents. That's just asinine.

the rest of the world actually has the right to whine about your presidents, because when you americns choose an idiot to govern amerika, you are actually choosing an idiot to govern and influence pretty much all of the known world

Clinton was well respected when he was in office. At least here in the UK.

Funny how you can be impeached for a sexual semantics, yet not for lying about the basis of dragging your country to war.

I agree, it was a debacle how we dealt with that as a country. However, my point remains, those who whined about Clinton are the same people who whine about Bush.

Well, run him up for PM.
Speeches are all very fine, did you see his interview with Chris Wallace?

"err, oooops, we didn't find any bio weapons. however we did killed a couple hundred american soldiers and some thousands irakis. but, err, we must continue on because, errr, we must, we haven't won yet. in the meantime, coca-cola and mcdonalds have entered Irak."

When you can get over your anti-american bias, please come back and discuss. In the meantime, this argument fails.

I loved that interview. He rocked Fox News harder than I've ever seen before. I thought he was a decent president, but that interview made him my idol I think.

I loved the Daily Show's take on it too 🙂

dude first of all i am not anti american, i am anti bush

but i do have something against americans: apathy, insensitivity, pride. those americans who protest in the streets against the war are called hippies and ignored. in the oil thread one argued that the enviros should "back off" and let the oil companies drill for more oil.
i have something against the way you choose presidents. fraud in the florida votes count and nobody was indicted. OJ and Michael free. i hold it against americans for demanding the right to bear arms instead of having a decent medical insurance or a decent education. did you know that children from 30 or so countries were tested in exact sciences and only two countries scored lower than USA? Madagascar scored higher. I had a coleague who was failing math. he won the visa lotery and when he got there he was grading other pupils math tests.

you have so much yet most of you are content with so little

You're just pissed that Nadia moved to the states.
