Any usable equipment that is too expensive to bring home is being destroyed on site, just like after the Iraq war.

There have been several reports of Afghan forces surrounding a city to the Taliban without a fight. Also mass defections over the border. It seems that 20 years of US and NATO training of the Afghan security forces has not been a complete success.

If Trump did this you'd be telling the whole planet about his brilliant idea of leaving this equipment to the American trained Afghan forces, so they could continue their fight against ISIS.
