Here comes the bleak “COVID” winter

Debates

It will surely be our bleakest winter in a long long time.

Civil insurrection would not surprise me at all. The economic woe has already begun to grate.

Notice, ALL the people that enact lockdowns on the people are big fat-cat pols
with a guaranteed salary. Oh, yeah, no lockdowns in government.

I stopped doing any shopping online at Amazon 6 months ago to give other smaller, online retailers a chance.

Each month more than 197 million people around the world get on their devices and visit Amazon.com. That's more than the entire population of Russia. In 2018, Amazon's share of the US ecommerce market hit 49%. That's 5% of all retail spent across the entire country.

There was a tory baroness on HIGNFY last night and she was very unimpressed by the current decision making by government.

According to IMHE projections, easing the mandates would cause over 200,000 extra deaths in your country in the next three months. https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-kingdom?view=total-deaths&tab=trend

Assuming those projections are accurate, do you still think that marginal increases in GDP in that time period are worth that many bodies?

@no1marauder

Assuming they are accurate lol.
