@shavixmir saidIt's actually a pretty cool conspiracy. The White Star Line built two ships at roughly the same time. The Titanic and her sister ship the Olympia. Long story short, the Olympia got damaged in an accident with HMS Hawke, the cost of repair would have been onerous and repairing it would delay the launch of the Titanic, so they rebadged the Olympia as the Titanic (not very difficult because both ships were virtually identical) with the plan to sink it on its maiden voyage to collect on its insurance and keep White Star Line afloat just a little longer.

Where the conspiracy gets interesting is when they tie in JP Morgan the owner of White Star Line and a devious plot to remove opposition to America's central bank the Fed .....A couple of important US bankers opposed to the Fed's establishment just happened to be on board the I'll fated insurance job and sank to the bottom of blighty, with the Fed becoming an entity a little over a year later.
