I wonder whether we will ever see any first-hand accounts from some of the adults in the room. I have a strong suspicion that some of the more insane things Trump might have done were foiled or at least ameliorated by others who knew better, sometimes w/o Trump’s knowledge and against his will.

Leave out the Kick and you will be right.
So JFK considered nuking China. Note he did not do that so was talked out of it.
JFK was considering attacking Cuba when the missiles were found there too but the Soviets backed down and took the missiles away.

So I guess you assume if a POTUS considers something it must have happened, eh?

Yup, he got his ass kicked by a margin of 7 million votes, 50 state courts, the Supreme Court, and his own Vice President and Attorney General. That’s some heavy duty ass kickin’ there all right.

The Soviets did not "back down" the USA backed down by pulling missiles out of Turkey.
