They had a record profit year in 2005 despite actually producing less! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11098458/

For those who bitch about them damn Arabs running up the price at the pump, Exxon's revenue exceeds the entire GNP of the country of Saudi Arabia. And that's just ONE super multinational oil conglomerate; there's a number of others.

So how does this work again..? Lets see..

The US invades an oil-producing country, burn the living hell out of it..

Due to the instability of the region, the demand increases like no one's business..

The prices of oil, surprise surprise, shoots high sky..

US Oil companies (such as this Bush-Texan one) triple their profit by screwing everyone in the country with high prices..

When stability returns to the US-Invaded region, oil prices drop down…

The Bush administration panics!!! They dig out any ridiculous excuse to invade another country…

Oil prices rise up again. Bush sleeps soundly.

Damn Arabs indeed for not standing up against this abuse.

I wish I could work less and get paid more, but unfortunately I don't get to tell the US government how to manage the world to make that possible.:'(

Not surprising oil company execs drive armoured SUVs; surely it can't be wrong to blow up crap.

And to top it off, instead of re-tooling to rid the US of oil-dependency, the auto makers are going out of business. Power in a few hands...

And what do you conclude of this ?

Bravo you have succesfully understand the situation and ... ?

Do you choose as a new car one that saves gas ?
Do you try your utmost to save energy wherever you can ?
Do you think of riding to your office with your colleague ?
Do you start collecting signs for an impeachement or try to boycott the big companies ?

No, all you do is yada yada yada about the bad economy and its goals.

When you allready think like grown-ups try to start acting like grown-ups.

No offence, but I just didn´t get that !

I'm thinking that might be a bitter and twisted "Hooray".

So here's a sarcastic "boo frickin hoo" in return.

Not happy with their profit? Shop somewhere else.

That perhaps the oil company in question might be cutting off its nose to spite its face.
Perhaps the auto industry is not looking forward enough to see the forest for the trees. A decreasing market share is a great economic indication that the wind is blowing elsewhere, and that moving one's trees may be the best course of action.

I don't have a choice, unless spending more = good. I'm twelve hours or more a week in a car, therefore I make the most feasible decisions possible, relative to economy and comfort.

Do you try your utmost to save energy wherever you can ?
Except for answering your petty post, I'd say I'm a saver.

Do you think of riding to your office with your colleague ?
I would, but none of my colleagues are ride-worthy. Oh, that, and I'm the only one in the office.

Do you start collecting signs for an impeachement or try to boycott the big companies ?
No, but I do have some back issues of Spiderman, Web of Spiderman, and the first issue of Nomad. Want to trade?

No, all you do is yada yada yada about the bad economy and its goals.
You mean these posts aren't printed as mandatory reading at all G8 economic summits? What the... !

Not surprisingly, you just don't get it.

A: O.k. you have a point there.

A: That is great to hear.

A: Err yes okay you are excused.

A: Meaning signatures of course sorry for not being born in a native english speaking country.

A: No but at least you could try to make your government change their mind and try to free yourself from the slavery of your economic.

Not surprisingly, you just don't get it.[/b] Neither did you.

And if you are one of the rare real good energy saving americans I stand corrected (maybe they are all chess players) Look at your countries waste mass (including exhaustion) per year.
You speak to a German and we are one of the best countries considering environmental protection. So bow and praise me you waste producer (not to be understood so serious, nah just messing with you.)

Power being what it is, there is a tendency for those in possession to horde the same. I am but one man, one voice, struggling to get through this life, as a pretext for the next one. I do what I can, but I don't get too worked up over the little things.
Historical trends being what they are, we are on the downward (and inevitable) swing of the current power structure. Even Bush is powerless in this one.

I'm pedalling a makeshift power generator just to spew this crap out now. Getting in shape by playing chess: it's not just for the sour Krauts!
