WASHINGTON - Chafing over a "wardrobe malfunction" and racy radio shock-jock programs, the House overwhelmingly passed a bill Wednesday authorizing unprecedented fines for indecency.

The bill would increase the maximum fine from $32,500 to $500,000 for a company and from $11,000 to $500,000 for an individual entertainer.

We should all be weeping. That we live in a time when showing a tittie is more offensive than young men and women being killed is evidence of the spiritual depravity of our time.

I myself did'nt watch the superbowl, but I did rewatch the said incident on the internet. The only thing I noticed was that she had a cool looking nipple ring. I don't find the human body offensive in anyway. I can't imagine why anyone would.

Beyond that the raising of fines will do little to curb any infactions in my oppinion. Stern is moving to satellite radio where the fcc will have no say in his antics.

Eventually prudish rules may drive the broadcast tv networks into cable and paid programming. Maybe pbs will survive this.

Careful ivanhoe, last time you quoted kirksey and added a smiley you got modded. I suggest lowering your level of smiley saturation in debate posts.
