Musk made a smart business decision to take a prominent role in government where he could remove regulation of the industries he dominates and quash federal investigations of his companies.

As usual you've misrepresented my core beliefs. I have no problem with Musk making a fortune. He stuck his neck out with space X and could have gone belly up but he was rewarded for his risk. The problem I do have with him is the lack of lead time he gives anyone in his employ to adjust to changes in their employment. Talk about disruptive technologies is all well and good but to treat people with a total lack of empathy and zero preparation regarding the changes coming is just insensitive. How are people to prepare for the axe.

And when you (Musk) are so far removed from the everyday concerns of paying the mortgage/rent, living costs and putting food on the table, are you really the best person to be hacking away at the branches of Governmental bureaucracy given how much the federal government contributes to the local economies of some of the smaller states.

A little bit of transparency would be good. And a little bit of foreshadowing in terms of what the disruption amounts to would be awesome.

Kmax, I employ 100 people, in a normal fashion, I check on a random few of them (GI inspection, we used to call it,,,,) and see two of them talking at the cooler about their sex changes, or how they are gonna Call in sick tomorrow .
