Speaking about wildlife preservation and such, remember just before the 2020 election when all the media exclaimed "Trump OK's Killing of Wolves, Removes Them from Endangered Species List"?
It was an OLD story from 6 months earlier, and the decision to remove wolves from the endangered species list was a GOOD thing. It meant they had returned in large numbers, and it wasn't Trump's call, it was the US Dept of Fish and Game that did it.
Trump could save a drowning child and the media would say it with the headline "Trump is Starving Sharks by Denying Them Food".
