Impeachment won't remove Trump from office. No way in hell will 20 republican senators vote yes. What it will do is get everyone on the record on what side of the argument they are, show exactly what republican politician thinks presidents should be allowed to obstruct justice without consequences. What it will do is show that presidents just can't do whatever the fuk they want. What it will do is show americans that democrats are willing to do the right thing, not what is politically safe.
Trump asked McGahn to fire Mueller. Trump asked witnesses to ignore subpeonas. Trump profits from being president. Trump admits that in 2020 he would gladly accept foreign aid against his opponent.
These are impeachable offenses. He should be impeached.

I was against impeachment at first, because I thought it would just add to Trump's god-complex ("I can shoot someone in broad daylight and still not lose supporters" ). Impeachment would be merely symbolic. His based will be even stronger after he beats it, and Republicans will hold Trump as a kind of martyr.
But, history will remember he was impeached, and why. If Trump isn't impeached, it will be used as a reason not to impeach future presidents who need to be removed from office.
