Again. What happened to getting rid of it?

Is this another failed campaign promise?

There's going to be lots more inflation - the fantasy that you can print trillions upon trillions of dollars to bail out banks, fight pointless foreign wars and give tax breaks to corporations and billionaires (what is called 'politics' whoever you vote for) will become evermore apparent.
The dangerously high levels of inflation in the stock market and the ho ...[text shortened]... he only thing that has stopped the entire system collapsing so far) will not be enough to save us!!!
+0.9 is really bad number. I expect trump to fire the messenger.

I'm going to sound like a broken record but Trump really is wrecking the US economy, and he is a macroeconomic illiterate.

It'll be even worse by the end of the year when the bills have to be paid and debt re-financed.

Inflation was coming down... the entire election was won over a promise to eliminate inflation on day 1.

Maybe he meant that the downward trajectory of inflation numbers would be eliminated.

Maybe it's 'the art of the deal' and Trump is playing 5D chess again?

Your whole life is a lie isnt it?

“The US annual inflation rate remained at 2.7% in in July 2025, the same as in June and below forecasts of 2.8%”

It's a fair point about CPI, although calling people names doesn't produce productive debates.

The +0.9 number is inflation on the productions side, also known as PPI. This rate is well known to foreshadow CPI increases in the next few months.

Even the fox news opinion section isn't happy, so it seems you're just trying to slap lipstick on a pig. Campaign promise, failed.

"i will immediately bring down prices starting on day 1" was the campaign promise.

Inflation is up. I acknowledged your point about CPI but core inflation is up. PPI is up. The price of meat is up 5% this year. Even FoxNews is reporting this. See also below:

The LIE was Trump or any other person saying they couldn't bring down Prices on the First day! Inflation will only go up not down, and it will get a whole lot worst before it gets better, if it ever gets better.

His tariff's are really helping bring down prices though aren't they??? 😉

Possibly the dumbest Move EVER by a U.S. President.

I guess you will refuse yours...

"Key Facts

Hawley’s bill proposes establishing a refundable tax credit for Americans using tariff revenue, which would send at least $600 to each eligible adult and dependent child this year, pending approval from Congress and Trump.

Trump last week said his administration was “thinking about a little rebate” from tariff revenue that would impact “people of a certain income level,” though he did not provide additional details.

A larger rebate check would be issued if tariff revenue exceeds projections, according to the bill, which reduces the rebate by 5%—lowering the $600 sum to about $570—for joint filers with an adjusted gross income above $150,000, a head of household with an income of over $112,500 or an individual whose income exceeds $75,000.

Hawley said in a statement his bill would “allow hard-working Americans to benefit from the wealth” collected by Trump’s tariffs."

He was going to end the war between Russia and Ukraine that Russia started before he became President after he was elected. We are still waiting, but lets see what happens in their meeting today. 😉

Hilary Clinton said if he were to do that without giving Putin any of Ukraine land, that she would nominate him for Peace Prize herself!!!!
