Stephen King’s 61st novel is out!
And Colbert did a wee interview with him.
Obviously the man is much better at writing than talking, but he’s got a quiet eloquence about him which is lovely.

King: I try to keep politics out of my stories.
Colbert: Did you block trump on twitter?
King: Yes, there’s only so much rubbish a man can take.

All hail the King.
Who, in case you are wondering, I seriously do consider the best writer of our times.

That's okay, you're an idiot, and we still let you prove it by posting here.

Isn't diversity great? Even the mentally handicapped can participate.

Not the best writer, in my opinion, but an excellent storyteller.

In my opinion, he's a bit wordy.

Try reading "Misery" sometime. Granted, when writing suspense, the build-up is the thing, but King can build-up for 40 pages.

The build-up in "It" was almost as bad.

"It" was a masterpiece where virtually every word mattered.

Could've done without the teenage gangbang, but everything else needed to be there.

Last time I finished "It" I came awfully close to starting over immediately.

To be fair, some of King's stuff is awful. Dreamcatcher is a joke, Dr. Sleep was playing it way too safe and The Stand has an ending so utterly terrible it made me dislike the entire novel.

Sound to me like someone is a bit homophobic.
