Even I am surprised how well Ron Paul is doing in Iowa.

Can he keep up the momentum?

Wow, maybe Paul can cause some trouble in Iowa.

I noticed on that page of your link, that nationally, Obama beats Paul by +6. The President polls ahead of all of the Republican candidates, even (+1) the generic Republican candidate with no name.

I noticed the same thing, but I think that could easily change in 11 months if the economy is still doing poorly. Keep in mind that Obama does not have to debate anybody for a while unless a democrat challenges him for the nomination and I doubt that will happen. When he has to debate it will weaken his poll numbers IMO.

Really? I don't Obama in very high esteem, but I've always felt he is a solid speaker.

He is a good speaker, the problem is that the economy will be a great tool for an opponent to use in a debate.

Who knows, the economy was doing poorly in 1984 but Reagan still won by a landslide.

Reagan won with the question "are you better off now than four years ago"?

If Obama asks that question, then he's sure to lose.

Somewhat; Paul was pulling around 5% in the Iowa polls in November 2007 but he got added support through December and wound up with just under 10% in the caucuses: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/ia/iowa_republican_caucus-207.html
