He does not represnt us-- the elction was rigged, and they found that out, but because the supreme leader said he should be president. Most of Iranians disagree with having him as our president because of his conservative views on Islam.
If you're an American citizen then, yes, you are indeed represented by the cowboy the same way as every Iranian citizen is represented by the camel jockey.
Doesn't matter if the election was rigged or not, he still represents Iran to the World. What he says publicly is the position of Iran .. period.
Congradulations on the wisdom of your parents and the blessings of your birthright. Don't waste it.

One of the 1st things you'll notice is that we haven't named Jerry Falwell or Jimmy Swaggart as our "supreme leader" in charge of elections.
We rig our elections fair and square without consent of the religious zealots.

Actually the Iranian president is only part of a complex political
system, he is not the final word on issues.

Iran is still under the influence of US sanctions and is already
shovelling the US mire. Most recently they had a civilian plane
crash that most likely wouldn't have happened if they were allowed
to upgrade their aviation.

Of course they're going to push against sanctions in every possible
way and it looks like their president is unreasonable enough to be
a competent negotiator.

To my knowledge however he has not made any direct threats to
Israel or elsewhere. Until he does so, the US would be well advised
to put their bullboy mentality on hold and entertain the option of
dialogue.

I said this a month ago. I stand by this statement, I do not retract it, but now that I have read his speech and know what he REALLY said, I do not say he said some awful things. He didn't. Had he said them, I would have been wholeheartedly against it, but he didn't say those things, I read his speech and it was changed a lot to favor Isreal and the West. It all full of lies.
Are you saying you read the original written version in Farsi?
How do you know THAT wasn't doctored?
Propaganda does not just flow from the US you know.
