Throughout the world, most nations opposed the war in Iraq. In some cases, while the people marched in opposition, their leaders sought refuge in George W Bush's colon and supported the invasion.
Now it seems even most US citizens agree it wasn't worth it:
A Washington Post/ABC News poll showed for the first time that the majority of Americans believe that it was not worth going to war in Iraq: 56% said the costs outweighed the potential benefits, an eight-point rise on similar polls in the summer.
Of course, to some here, that just demonstrates that the Washington Post are a bunch of commies. I see it as part of the start of the collapse in support for the war across the US.

Americans are just getting a little soft because of our troops dying but I believe we will stay the course and you will continue to be unhappy about it.

You're like a stuck record.
No country wants to nuke america, in the space of around 10 seconds there would probably be 50 nukes flying back at them..
Most people u think of as anti american just want america to stop meddling in other coutnries affairs.
Next you'll come back with the typical 9/11 splurge.. The main reason for that attack was american meddling in the middle east, Bin laden was trained and armed by the CIA after all, to fight the russians.. america made him what he is today, once the russian war was over he needed a new enemy, america was the easy target.
And yes, 9/11 it was terrible, it was an international tragedy, people from all over the world were killed there, not just americans. BUT just because it happened on american soil doesn't make it any worse or horrific than any other major tragedy. i.e. the thousands of iraqis being killed NOW.. a life if a life and what i can't understand is how the religious fundies advocate this war..
So no, we don't like seeing american troups getting killed over in Iraq and no we don't like seeing iraqis being killed in Iraq either, the sooner this whole mess is over and done with the better and americans can go back to their homes and live in peace.

Iraq was no threat to your country.. How many times does this have to be posted? They had no WMD! They're weren't any nukes! What was the rush in invading when diplomacy and sanctions had been keeping them a crippled nation for 10 years?
Bush should have focused on Bin laden, who was the direct threat and forgot about Sadam, who was no threat to US.
Now, the real threat has been unleashed in the form of all the newly springing up radical groups in Iraq which were never present before..
Be afraid, but don't blame Sadam for it.

Kinda dangerous if you ask me, i remember another nation that had blind faith in their leader, never questioning his motives even when they seemed wrong.
i think its healthier to question anyone and everyone, *especially* rich politicians..
But its an interesting trend that the American peoples opinion is starting to sway against this war, I guess the facts are seeping through the journalistic blanket..

That's the sound of the back-bone of American morality being stretched to within snapping point.
I said, before the war in Iraq started, that the US forces are only functional in short term warfare. When it comes to sustained combat without prospect of winning in the near future, they don't have the back-bone to do the job.
Never have, never will. It's part of US mentality. Good vs Bad. Us vs Evil.
"We'll go in and solve the problem and get out again." Like cowboys on the prairies.
I also noted that as soon as it became a bogged down affair (Vietnam anyone?) things would start to go wrong for the US forces.
It's a bad thing for the US. Because everyone in the world now sees how to combat the largest military power this world has ever known. Vietnam and Korea weren't just one (or two) offs...it's a sustainable strategy: Stretch the combat out. Not full on offensives. Just make sure it lasts a couple of years.
SNAP.
And on a side note: How much is this whole affair costing the US tax payer? And who's getting rich from it?
