The post that was quoted here has been removedDid chess originate in China?
Naaaa.... Persia or India. Most likely.
In Persian culture white is a bride’s colour; purity.
In Hindu culture white is purity, cleanliness and knowledge.
So, my guess is as good as any. And your opinion that white being virtue is Western centric is completely wrong. In most cultures it represents roughly the same. And again, it has nothing to do with pink people.
Even in Chinese culture it represents purity and completion. Hence it’s worn at the end of a life’s cycle.
Stop coming here and projecting your bias gibberish.
The post that was quoted here has been removedI’ve never heard of it originating in China.
And, generally, universally, white does have the same properties. Naturally there will be some cultures who differ, there always are, but generally.
Yes. Even in China.
Your mistake, which you can’t concede, is that white being pure has nothig to do with white people. White people not actually being white (well, most aren’t).
@kevin-eleven saidYup. Snow from yesterday.
@divegeester
Didn't I or maybe thirteen others start a thread about this some time ago?
@earl-of-trumps saidSlow week in the news, now that Trump’s out of office.
You're all desperate to argue race. Jeeezus.
"Back in the day", players all wanted the black pieces. The player with white was compensated with going first.
