Yes. I'm taking the affirmative.

OK, I'll take the negative. What evidence do you have to suggest that NicolaiS has joined mateulose in his eternal reward?

He hasn't moved in almost a month, and I can't remember his last post on RHP or FW. I think Ivanhoe whacked him about 3 weeks ago, and that he has been hiding from the law since then, which would explain his recent absence as well.

Ivanhoe is back showing off his non-debating skills (see the Iran weapons thread), so if he did have NicolaiS "whacked" he's more brazen and cunning than Bbarr and you give him credit for. I know NicolaiS had over a hundred games going and he quit both the Contumelious Clan and Valkyrie Storm because he wanted to cut down. Perhaps he is simply spending time with his cutey; some men actually regard this as more important than chess and debate (go figure). Maybe after this ridiculous St. Valentine's Day is over he'll return.

How do you account for Ivanhoe's recent absence then? Do you simply take his word that he had computer problems? Isn't one's credibility tarnished when one is known to be single-handedly responsible for causing an entire RHP forum to be permanently erased as a result of his fit of rage? And doesn't that outburst establish that Ivanhoe's character is one that is inclined to losing self-control and acting out in passion?

Maybe he was "resting" in a proper mental health facility. Admittedly, it seems that any therapeutic effects were short-lived given his posts of today, but I submit my explanation is more reasonable than that Ivanhoe was hiding out from Dutch law enforcement. Many long term members of RHP are leaving; Faith No More would be a recent example. Even Prad the Friendly left the site without being the victim of foul play. I still think we'll be hearing from NicolaiS soon and that he is merely "whipped" as they say.

I hope he is well. My last dealings with him left us on a sour note. I think he might have been really stressed out. Well, wherever he is, I wish him well.
