I think the US Gov. is maybe looking at this Jihad warfare the wrong way. I think they should secretly sponser (through several different organizations) a Anti Jihadist Organization or the AJO if you will. With this group established, impower them with the funds and the arms to effectively attack strategic targets such as jihad training camps and even as far as blowing up the nuclesr plants in Iran and other threats of the world.
Then after the attacks take place we can deny the whole thing and blame it on capitalist extremists like other countries are doing such as Iran and the Saudies are doing today.

Originally posted by torch71The CIA has been doing that sort of thing for years. What you don't realize though is that their intentions have never been to get rid of "threats of the world". In fact in most cases their intentions are to create destabilization so as to stop others getting a monopoly on oil and to make money from arms sales. They have also frequently sponsored brutal dictators in the hope of stopping communism.

The current terrorism has benefited the top political leaders in the US and a significant proportion of US big business so why would they want to stop it?
Why should the sponsorship be secret? Why not simply sponsor all anti-terrorist orgnizations openly?

In other words we would be able to set up maybe say a suitcase bomb right outside President Toms office or home even and say "WOW😲, what a terrible thing, that Irans dictator fell victim of a terrorist attack, we do not condone such actions here in the US" Its the right wing extremists that are to blame not the US Gov.
Originally posted by mrstabbyDon't worry, the CIA and NSA have already thought of it and are probably already financing hit squads to eliminate terrorist leaders where we can find them. What we need to do is get as efficient at it as Mossad ... I still wanna know how Israel manages to locate the exact car that a Hezbollah terrorist leader is end right before a missile goes up its tailpipe . Now thats good intelligence work.

Originally posted by torch71The conventional argument against this is that if assasinating the leaders of other countries is a good thing, then the U.S. government should be able to explain to us why it's a good thing. And if we don't think it's a good thing, we should be able to vote them out of office for it. If they get to keep their involvement a secret without public review they can do basically whatever they want.
Plausable deniability.

Which, of course, they do.

Originally posted by darthmixI don't see any leaders of foreign countries that need to be 'taken out' in the world today.... the ones who are the most vocal against the US are on shaky ground with their own citizens and will fail/fall of their own accord. Kim in North Korea is living on borrowed time, eventually someone in his own military will take him out. Same situation with Hugo in Venezula, some general in their military will figure his ego has gotten too big for his pants. The mullahs in Iran, they better tighten their grip on things or the population will show them the door. Man who disturbs me the most is Putin ... he longs for the good old days of the failed Soviet system. Will he give up power? or will he remain the man in charge through some hand picked protege?

And they already do that.
