My dad was conscripted into the German army at 17 years old and deserted to fight against the Nazis in the Free Polish Army under an assumed name. My mom survived the bombing of Berlin where she said "Everything was on fire. People were on fire." Some neighbors, since deceased, survived Auschwitz. From what my dad shared about Hitler coming to power, the arc is so similar to Trump that it genuinely frightens me. I know that he would be sick to his stomach if he were around today.
