Israel asks Congress to press South Africa to drop ICJ genocide case

Israel is lobbying members of Congress to press South Africa to drop its legal proceedings in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the war in Gaza, according to an Israeli foreign ministry cable obtained by Axios.

Why it matters: South Africa has until Oct. 28 to give the top UN court its arguments for continuing the case against Israel over alleged violations of the Genocide Convention during the war in Gaza.

Israeli officials say they want members of Congress to make clear to South Africa that there will be consequences for continuing to pursue the case.

Nobody cares. What is interesting here is that the case has failed and will continue to fail because of the kind of people Palestinians are. They are terrorists who have violated all standards of decency in war. Terrorists can never win a case in ICJ. The only thing that is driving Karim Khan is his hatred for Jews. South Africa should spend their money of fixing their own problems at home. A large portion of their people suffer in poverty.

Its a time wasting, and money wasting process, that yields nothing of value. Isreal will have to pay lawyers to waste their time fighting this stupid case.

Hey, not saying anything about the barbarity of Hamas slaughtering and raping 1200 folks at a festival but it is about 300 to one deaths, well, if Hamas numbers are to be believed. Do you know of any independent verification of the Gaza civilian death toll?
And believe me, I know those bastards use human shields, they are so cowardly.
But there does seem to be a large number of Gazans killed.

Its the nature of war. War is not, you kill 500, I kill 500. That is gang war. This is serious war, provoked by Hamas and supported by Palestinians. The aim is to finish Hamas and their military machine. Who gets in the way will die as well. Why should the Jews care about Gazans when Hamas is abusing, raping and likely impregnating hostages?

International Courts of Justice are for losers. The US and Israel are not a party to that nonsense. Palestinians have violated every guideline laid down by the Geneva Convention. They are criminals. Israel is fight criminals. There is no court that Israel is afraid of, neither care about, as long as they are in a battle against an enemy that wants them annihilated.
