Have fun in Espoo... there's not much of it, but I'm sure you'll manage to get out of that senior citizen craphole during the weekends.

You should.

Worked against the Palestinians in 1967, ordered the Lebanon invasion and the subsequent Sabra-Shatila massacres, was found guilty of said massacre and temporarily removed, later came back, and ordered entire villages razed in Gaza, set up sieges and massacres at Jenin and Ramallah in 2002, then suffered a stroke before he could fit anything else in. I'd say that marks a war criminal.
I say war hero.

That was a fairly large jump to make. Should you assume that I admire Sharon, too? Because I brought him up as well.

Furthermore, it doesn't matter. I'm a socialist. Socialists hate fascism on principle. One of the reasons I'm anti-Zionist.
Zionism is about 120 years old and a raving success.
Palestinians are a conquered people.
Grow up and get over it.
Like both Holy Books say .. its the will of Allah.

I should have known that over 30 posts into this thread there wouldn't be one mention of even an alleged war crime Israel perpetrated. Typical!

I heard something about phosphorous which I'll say now is perfectly legal and is standard issue for tons of ground invasions, which due to Hamas' policy of surrounding themselves around their own civilians, Israel was forced to use.

No country would send their children to run through booby trapped Gaza with Jew Hating Maniacs (hiding behind civilians) shooting them without cover.

Israel has so many ways of OBLITERATING Gaza, this was clearly the way to cause the least amount of damage while providing Israeli soldiers with a chance at not dying themselves.

People talk about phosphorous like it's a nuclear bomb!

With absolutely no evidence to support you. You can keep bleating that if you like, but almost nobody agrees with you.

I agree that the international rules regarding use of WP is misunderstood by many. Here are the facts.

WP is permitted by international law to be used as a smokescreen. International law specifically dictates that WP should not be used on civilian targets. Anything you read confirms this. WP is an extremely combustible substance, with effects similar to napalm, but less long-lasting.

Gaza is the most densely populated region on Earth. The WP bombs were dropped directly over Gaza City. If they were to be used as a smokescreen as international law dictates, they would not be dropped over extremely densely populated cities, they would be dropped near the outskirts. Israel did not follow international law regarding use of WP because it knew that WP would be dropped over civilian centers, and cause damage accordingly.

Hamas killed 13 people over the 22 days of war. 9 of these people were soldiers. Israel killed over 1300 people in the same period, and over 800 were civilians. 8/13 (800/1300) deaths were civilian and they were carried out by the 4th most powerful army in the world, and 4/13 of Hamas' killings were civilians, and Hamas has virtually no military capability whatsoever, especially against Israel.

"There were no such thing as Palestinians. When was there an independent Palestinian people with a Palestinian state? It was either southern Syria before the First World War, and then it was a Palestine including Jordan. It was not as though there was a Palestinian people in Palestine considering itself as a Palestinian people and we came and threw them out and took their country away from them. They did not exist."

Sweetheart, eh?
