History is dotted with bloodless coups.
All they had to do was make it into the inner chambers of the Capitol and disrupt the proceedings and take into "custody" several key members of the house.
And maybe even a vice-president.
It didn't matter that the actions of Jan 6th were carried out by a bunch amateurish hillbillies. It was all about the intent.
I am quite certain that a much smaller team of a dozen members of ISIS or AlQaeda could have done much more damage.
And that is a thought that worries me more. I am sure that ISIS and AlQaeda were watching that day.
And gathering information. When they weren't rolling on the floor laughing at the amateurs that descended on the Capitol.
If anything, the events of Jan 6th exposes Trump for the amateurish, incompetent clown that he is.
A dangerous clown, of course. But a clown nonetheless.
