We’ve spent decades (nearly a century) building up an international framework of cooperation, to make sure we don’t fall into a spiral of disruption and destruction. And what trump is doing is pushing the agenda in the other direction.
You don’t seem to realise that your freedoms are based completely on agreements. When you start discarding one, anyone else can discard any other.
If no one trusts the dollar, your economy will collapse. If no one trusts the yen, the chinese economy will collapse… and if the Chinese economy collapses, so will the American economy. Etc.
