Very True but people won't give up their defense first so you have to find a way to eliminate criminals from carrying guns.

Caught with an illegal gun is a life sentence would probably eliminate almost all of them.

It could be environmental as well as cultural: there might be economic pressures involved, microplastics and other artificial chemicals acting as hormone analogues, mental illnesses exacerbated by bullying on social media.

Would you agree that in our times as they actually are at present, it would be a good idea to do a background check for prospective gun owners and a follow-up background check every year or two to make sure they would not be a hazard to the rest of us?

If not, why not?

You clearly don't know what a wrongful conviction to say that, nor did you actually read the article.

A wrongful conviction is determined in a court of law where a person is exonerated of the crime they were falsely sentenced for. Wrongful convictions are not "opinions".

49 percent of wrongful convictions are blacks, compared to 37 percent of whites. And those are just the wrongful convictions we know of.

Well when they are the majority in prison for committing crimes then it stands to reason they would also be the majority for wrongful convictions. See?
