No. That the government of the USA haven't been a bunch of jolly good fellas for a long time.

Big news there! But I don't think you can credibly assign such "evilness" as that of Hitler, Stalin or Pol Pot to any U.S. statesman, which was my point.

Kissinger is a worthy contender, and most of the founding fathers too.

After the Vietnamese free Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge the USA chose to support, feed and arm the Khmer Rouge soldiers rather than to feed and help the dying Cambodian population. I think it tells us a lot of USA's government evilness.

My main point is: if you support a monster, knowing his most nasty acts perfectly well, as in the three cases you mention, it makes you a monster too.

In his case I'd make an exception.

The most despicable and murderous person I know about.
Errr... Mao? Goebbels? Hitler? Stalin?

Despicable guys too.

But Kissinger was a despicable low life criminal and some people still take him in a good light. 😞

I don't need to say anything about the guys you mentioned because everyone knows their sins but on Kissinger most people don't even dream on what that guy was up too.

Oh, I agree he is up there. Just that I wasn't sure that you really felt he was the "worst" or were using a hyperbole.

A little bit of an hyperbole. I really dislike his falseness and the adulation he still gets. As for deciding on the worst monster: that depends on the day of the week. 😉

Just read this thread and you see that once sh76 kinda defended him I lost it. I gotta learn to control myself... 😞

That was my second flame war in as many weeks.

I have to relax or I'm gonna have to go on BP meds. 🙁

I guess you never know when you're gonna hit a raw nerve on this board.

I went bananas on robbie carobbie last week because snarky comments about Jew-controlled media and government hit a raw nerve for me. I'm still not convinced I over-reacted; but maybe I did.

We all have our hang-ups. 😉

True.

Ps: the media isn't about jew control, or state control. The media is all about business/corporate control. 😉

The media is one thing, and that's plural.

Because it's this thread's topic.
My point, you are usually quick to jump on issues that concern the USA.
We really have no trouble with people leaving here for Mexico.
Maybe, just maybe there's a lot of good people too.
All in all, there isn't a person in this country with an anchor in their arse, so they can pull up, pack up and leave when ever they want. That's just fantastic.

You wanting another poster to post less about something and more about something else? How compelling. Haven't you ever noticed on this board how as many as 24 or 25 of the 30 most recent threads can be on issues that concern the U.S., and more often than not they are started by American members of this community? Now. Do you think Kissinger was the most disgraceful 20thC U.S. statesman, yes or no? If not, who? Option B: if you've nothing of worth to add to a debate, why not *NOT* post? Just an idea.
