All of the promises and outcry by the belligerent right wingers that Obamacare would be repealed is gone. Not gonna happen. Obamacare will be with us for generations, and become part of our culture, as is social security. I love it.

For the sake of Americans I do hope Obamacare will be repealed, and a nationalized health care system implemented. Such a system, if properly implemented, will save billions as well as hundreds of thousands of lives.

Yup; entitlements are almost impossible to repeal once they're in effect. Advocate repealing of any entitlement and howls are sure to come from the disingenuous left wing political hacks that you're trying to steal food from the mouths of the poor and whatnot.

That's why government ought to be careful about passing them in the first place.

That's not very accurate. Most of the austerity programs in Europe involve cuts to "entitlement" programmes in one way or the other.

At gunpoint, entitlement cuts do happen. But they cause tremendous backlash even when absolutely necessary, as in the case of Greece.

Obama care is not really a socialized plan. More fascist than socialist. The insurance companies wrote it.

In Holland they raised the retirement age without major protests or strikes. Government bonds are still triple-A rated and the interest is close to zero, so I don't think it was "at gunpoint".

Over there in Europe there isn't much protest anyway as people have been raised to go along with whatever the government says. It is engrained into Europeans that government is their nanny.

By calling benefits programs "entitlements" people get the feeling that somehow they are owed a benefit for eternity.

In Greece there have been massive protests, riots and strikes.

Once again, in your extremely effeminate way, you don't even understand what you like. As long as conservatives are opposed to it, you love it. If conservatives announced tomorrow that they were for the tides, you'd oppose them.

When I was very young, I watched my great-grandfather slaughter a cow. He just walked up to the cow with a sledgehammer and hit it right between the ears. Cow just stood there. I asked my great-grandfather if the cow was afraid. My great-grandfather said, "Son, there just ain't nuthin' there."

    That's you. The cow. You.
